The bookcase unit formed the backing wall to a staircase so the design needed to allow for fixing the wall panel to the back of the unit while having a seamless front bookcase elevation.
The shelving is varied in width and height with two deeper display sections which included a double door access to a heat interface unit set under the stairs, this there needed to be a removable section of unit plinth skirting for access.
The staircase was required to gain access to the mezzanine level. This had to be a specific design as the stair well had wall panels to all faces with the panelling extending to the stair treads which required them to be designed with inverted stair strings with kite winders through ninety degrees. The supporting framework below was all set out to accommodate a space for plant below and the bookcase deep display sections.View all general joinery
