Houston Cox successfully designed and delivered an acoustic curved timber ceiling within the Council Chambers. It required considerable co-ordination with the MEP contractor to integrate both the lighting channels and AV equipment. The design included for all structural support work from the hollow beam slab above.

The construction of the ceiling rafts consisted of Unistrut support work integrated with MDF profiled ribs, infilled with acoustic insulation and covered in fabric then clad with hit and miss solid oak sections.
